On November 11, 2025, a significant milestone was achieved for China's oxygen health sector with the successful inauguration of the China Oxygen Health Promotion Committee (hereinafter referred to as the "Committee") in Chengdu. Hosted by the China Industrial Gas Association, this event marks the industry's entry into a new phase of collaborative and standardized development, establishing a solid foundation for future growth.
The inaugural assembly was chaired by Fu Chungan, Executive Vice Chairman of the association and Secretary-General of the Committee. The event featured the announcement of the first committee members and a certification ceremony. Mr. Xie Bangqing, Chairman of Chengdu LBYL Medical Technology Co., Ltd. (LBYL Medical), along with other industry leaders, was appointed as Vice Chairman of the Committee.

In his keynote address, the inaugural Chairman, Professor Liu Yingshu, provided a thorough analysis of the opportunities and challenges facing the sector. He highlighted strong demand drivers, including the established consensus for oxygen supply in high-altitude regions like Xinjiang, Tibet, and Yunnan, alongside growing interest for oxygen use in homes and elderly care facilities in plains areas. On the supply side, he noted the increasing diversification of products such as oxygen generators, diffuse oxygen supply systems, and oxygen cabins. Rising national income, increasingly affordable products, demographic trends, and a strategic national shift towards health prevention collectively paint a bright future for the industry.
Professor Liu also addressed persistent challenges related to equipment quality, standard systems, after-sales service, and public awareness. In response, he outlined the Committee's core mission and action plan. The Committee will adhere to the principles of "laying the foundation, establishing standards, promoting awareness, and building bridges." It aims to foster high-quality, standardized development through three main pathways: enhancing industry self-regulation, popularizing oxygen health knowledge, and serving as a connector for stakeholders.
The event also included thematic reports where experts shared insights on topics like oxygen and health, oxygen use in the wellness and elderly care industries, and oxygen production and supply for high-altitude areas. These discussions provided valuable theoretical and practical guidance for the industry's advancement.
The establishment of the Committee consolidates industry consensus and opens a new chapter for the future of China's oxygen health sector.
